In actual operation, once the generator set experiences unstable speed or frequency, users need to calm down and find the cause. Huaquan Power believes that the main reasons for the unstable speed of
diesel generator sets are as follows. Specifically, this is mainly caused by damage to the components of the fuel system.
① Air, moisture, leaks, or blockages in the low-pressure fuel system can easily cause fuel supply to be interrupted, interrupted, or blocked, resulting in unstable speed of the diesel generator set.
② Governor malfunction. The weakened elasticity of the speed regulating spring or damaged one-way thrust bearing in the diesel engine governor can easily cause unstable speed of the diesel generator set.
③ Fuel injection pump malfunction. The uneven and excessive fuel supply of each cylinder of the fuel injection pump, the jamming phenomenon of the internal plunger, the inflexible movement of the fuel adjustment gear rod, and the loosening of the fixing screws of the fuel control sleeve can all cause the speed of the diesel generator set to be unstable.
If there is an unstable speed during use, you may want to troubleshoot from these aspects to ensure that the unit quickly recovers to its optimal operating speed and frequency, and to ensure that the diesel generator set can perform at its best in the future.
